Children, access to greenspace and links to mental health. There is some interesting scientific evidence coming out of Denmark that made me think, especially as we are in lock-down.

In a study of over 900,000 people, children that grew up with lower levels of greenspace faced significantly higher risks regarding their mental health. In an increasingly urban environment, finding new and innovative ways to incorporate kids play areas in urban sites poses a significant issue for developers and town planners.

What sort of an impact do you think access too places like parks and ovals has on children as they grow up? Coming from a childhood in the suburbs with ovals to kick the football around and all my children growing up with access to lots of open space, I can see the link, what do you think?
